Hear The Difference YouTube Compression Hides.
In the video, a ToneX capture and a NAM A2 capture both sounded nearly identical to their Helix Stadium proxy clones. YouTube's audio compression makes that even harder to judge. Here are the raw, uncompressed files. Decide for yourself.
Five files. Two tests. Zero compression.
Every file was recorded from the same guitar performance, level-matched, and printed as full-quality WAV, not squeezed through YouTube's audio encoding. Put on real headphones and listen closely.
- → Dry DI, the unprocessed source performance
- → ToneX Reference, the original purchased capture
- → Stadium Proxy Clone, that ToneX capture re-cloned through Helix Stadium
- → NAM A2 Capture, the software-only A2 model
- → Stadium Proxy of NAM A2, that same A2 model re-cloned through Helix Stadium
Two tests. Five files. One question.
Levels were matched, gain staging was controlled, and the results held up under drive and gain stress testing. Full breakdown is in the video. These are the same files I used, so you can put your own ears on it.
